According to a recent and annual survey from the National Retail Federation (NRF), more consumers are looking to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in 2024. The survey reveals an estimated that 62% consumers plan to celebrate this day with a record $7.2 billion — an average of $44.40 per person.

This increased spending and participation on this scale reflect the continued popularity of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the United States, with consumers investing in various goods and activities to mark the occasion. It’s important to note that such statistics can provide valuable insights into consumer behaviour and economic trends surrounding Online and retail spend around holidays and events.

According to another survey conducted from Numerator, the below data highlights the top ways that consumers are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day which include:

🍀 Wearing green (82%)
🍀 Making a special dinner (29%)
🍀 Attending a party at a bar or restaurant (27%)
🍀 Decorating home or office (26%)
🍀 Hosting a party (12%)
