As we reflect on OPENex 2024, I want to personally thank each and every one of you for making this year’s event such an incredible success. It was inspiring to see so many passionate professionals come together, share their insights, and collectively shape the future of our industry.

The OPENeX2024 conference, held from September 16 to 18, 2024, in Hong Kong, successfully united global leaders, best in class and innovators in the realm of cross-border eCommerce logistics. The event underscored the pivotal role that eCommerce plays as a catalyst for business growth, on a global scale, providing attendees with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, embrace the required business tools and network with industry experts.
Programme Overview
OPENeX2024 was moderated by professional host Lucy Greenleaf of Greenleaf Group. Across the days OPENeX 2024 featured a robust conference program designed to deliver high-quality insights from a diverse lineup of international and regional speakers, all of whom bring extensive experience and impressive track records in their respective fields of the ecommerce ecosystems. The conference emphasised its mission to expand attendees’ understanding of eCommerce through a comprehensive two-day program and medium-fast paced 1-2-1 scheduled meetings.

Diverse Agenda: The programme featured engaging keynote presentations, dynamic panel discussions, fireside chats, and interactive workshops. This format facilitated knowledge sharing from experienced practitioners and top executives on a variety of relevant subjects.
NeX HUB & Network Panel Discussions: Attendees engaged in insightful, in-depth discussions that covered key topics shaping the industry today. These included the transformative impact of eCommerce on postal networks, air freight, and the freight forwarding industry, as well as the emerging regional opportunities and challenges eCommerce presents. The discussions also explored the influence of cutting-edge technologies like AI and blockchain, which are revolutionizing the sector.
Additionally, topics such as customer acquisition strategies, digital marketing trends, leadership and management best practices, and the latest supply chain advancements were part of the discourse, providing a well-rounded perspective on the evolving landscape.
Keynote Speeches: The conference featured impactful keynote speeches from notable speakers who addressed the current landscape of eCommerce and the technological innovations driving change.
NeX Masterclass: Participants had the opportunity to attend a specialized masterclass on reverse logistics and the circular economy, providing hands-on training and insights into best practices within the industry.
1:1 Meetings: Structured networking opportunities allowed attendees to engage in one-on-one meetings, fostering deeper connections and potential eCommerce collaborations.
As we continue to expand our global reach in events, we are thrilled to announce our participation in a variety of key industry events in 2024 with co-exhibiting activities alongside NeX Members.
NeX is joining forces with third-party hosts at prominent venues, including the Reverse Logistics Association (RLA), Retail Supply Chain Expo (RSCL), White Label Expo, Transport Logistics China in Shanghai, and CILF/CEFAIR. These events provide valuable opportunities for our members to network, share insights, and explore the latest innovations across sectors with thought leaders and industry experts from around the world.
NeX Events: 2025 Schedule Update
We’re excited to share the upcoming schedule for NeX events in 2025! Kick off the year with the Manifest & C-Level Meetups in Las Vegas this February, where eCommerce and retail industry leaders will gather to discuss forward-thinking strategies. In May, join us at the OPENordiX Regional Event in Stockholm, offering unique insights into the evolving Nordic market. Next up is Transport Logistics in Munich this June, a must-attend for those in the logistics sector.
In September, we’ll head to Istanbul to host OPENeX 2025, where global innovators will connect. Finally, we’ll close out the year in Shenzhen at CILF/CEFAIR this autumn, focusing on the latest developments in international trade.
